About The Position

At Elements Massage San Mateo, the mission is to improve the lives of everyone touched, starting with the therapists. The studio aims to build a team of exceptional massage therapists who love what they do and feel valued every day. Founded by a massage therapist, the studio prioritizes therapist needs over sales quotas or unrealistic expectations, focusing on creating a supportive, respected, and inspiring work environment for career growth. The culture is therapist-centered, allowing therapists to focus 100% on massage without expectations to sell retail products or cross-sell facials. All massage rooms are equipped with hydraulic tables, towel warmers, and high-quality supplies. Booking, laundry, and other support processes are handled for therapists. The studio offers flexible scheduling to support career longevity, ongoing training with a Massage Therapist Educator, and optional 15-minute breaks between sessions. Management provides support, understanding the work, helping therapists grow, and valuing their input. The environment is positive, team-first, built on respect and long-term stability, with career advancement opportunities. The studio also uses a smart client matching system to pair therapists with clients who align with their preferred modalities and strengths, serving a loyal, wellness-minded client base eager for customized bodywork.

Requirements

• CAMTC certification (or in process)
• Completion (or near completion) of a massage therapy program
• A passion for healing and client-centered care

Responsibilities

• Following our proven systems for providing a superior massage therapy experience for clients and members
• Customizing massage based on client needs and preferences
• Providing a professional recommendation for next steps in a client’s treatment plan
• Creating SOAP/intake notes for each massage session
