About The Position

As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Masking Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will mask parts using various materials to protect surface areas from exposure to unwanted chemical processes.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from work orders, drawings, internal and customer specifications, manuals, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in basic to intermediate mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, organize, estimate, and recognize similarities and differences in materials, processes, and data.
  • Ability to follow instructions, take direction from supervisors, and complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of 5S and Lean manufacturing principles, with the ability to support continuous improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English through verbal communication, American Sign Language, or adaptive technology.
  • High school diploma/G.E.D.
  • Due to Skills Inc.’s participation in the defense industry, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) apply. Responsibilities

  • Mask parts for processing using specified materials, tools, and masking aids, including calipers and rulers.
  • Interpret and utilize production work orders, drawings, specifications, and written or verbal instructions to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing records, including written and visual documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company work rules and safety regulations.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials, including labeling containers, transferring waste to accumulation bins, and disposing of waste in accordance with established procedures.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
