About The Position

The Masker position is responsible for masking or shielding surfaces of parts that do not require processing. This role involves processing parts according to shop work orders, applicable specifications, and drawings, and following verbal and written instructions. The Masker will also inspect incoming parts for defects, complete work orders accurately, and safely handle hazardous materials. Additionally, this role includes managing and training personnel, understanding and reading blueprints, using Proflow, acting as a lead for the department, coaching and training on routine duties, managing workflow, and maintaining schedules. The ability to mask all parts and perform other assigned duties is also required.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 plus years of masking experience in an aerospace processing environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Near and distance vision requirements
• Ability to hear average-level conversations
• Tactile sensitivity to handle delicate parts
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses
• Team Player: Works well as part of a group

• U.S. Citizen or otherwise eligible under U.S. export control laws (due to ITAR regulations)

Responsibilities

• Mask or shield surfaces of parts that do not require processing
• Process parts according to shop work orders, applicable specifications, and drawings
• Follow verbal and written instructions provided by the supervisor
• Inspect incoming parts for damage, scratches, or other defects
• Accurately complete work orders and all required paperwork
• Safely handle hazardous materials in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Manage and Train personnel
• Understand and able to read blueprints masking drawings
• Able to use Proflow
• Act as the lead for the department
• Able to coach/train routine duties
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Able to manage work flow and maintain schedules
• Ability to mask all parts
• Perform other duties as assigned
