Martial Arts Assistant
About The Position
The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable team members for the position of Martial Arts Assistant. This is a part-time opportunity where you can use your martial arts knowledge and skills in decision making, problem solving and dealing with the public. Our Martial Arts Assistants enjoy a flexible schedule along with a fun work environment and earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $17.00 hourly. As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in providing instruction in the martial arts discipline of Tae Kwon Do. Generally, you'll teach a few classes each week, including helping out when a substitute teacher is needed.
Requirements
- Specific expertise in the martial arts discipline of Tae Kwon Do
- Black belt designation
- Knowledgeable in first aid and CPR
- Comfortable leading a group and teaching individuals
- Availability to work evenings during class times
- Exhibit self-motivation by always looking for ways to improve their knowledge and skills
- Show great respect for others and their property
- Maintain their assigned equipment with care
- Get great satisfaction from contributing to what makes O'Fallon such a great place to live!
- Have a valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Setting up facilities for programs, events, games, and activities
- Providing information and top notice customer service to patrons
- Attending mandatory training meetings
- Providing first aid as needed
