About The Position

Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, this position is responsible for the accurate labeling of parts and assemblies using various marking methods. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess and develop skills required for the position; including but not limited to basic math, understanding and interpretation of blueprints, use of precision measurement tools.
  • Effectively communicate via spoken and written means, as well as in one-on-one and group settings
  • Ability to accurately interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to utilize applicable computer software programs
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning and problem solving skills
  • Be safety-minded and follow all company policies, safety policies & procedures, and practice safe work habits. Such as, but not limited to; use of proper PPE, safe lifting techniques, and building security.
  • Attend all meetings and trainings as scheduled

Responsibilities

  • Understands engineering drawings, factory orders, and routers to determine marking requirements
  • Use the appropriate marking method (Electro-Etch, Laser, Vibro-Peen, Dot-Peen, Ink) to clearly and correctly identify materials, test pieces, and other assemblies as required
  • Barcode scan or manually enter identification requirements in the computer
  • Manually transfer ink marking onto part surfaces
  • Pre-form aluminum tags before assembly
  • Apply aluminum tags into place
  • Assemble stainless tags onto hoses and tubes
  • Assemble shrink sleeve over marking as required and set in place
  • Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
