This job is responsible for providing advanced end-to-end operational support for securities, loans, exchange traded derivatives and over the counter derivatives across multiple lines of business, and cross-business functional support through the lifecycle of a trade. Key responsibilities include ensuring trading and operational activities are completed accurately and before deadlines, researching and resolving complex issues, and simplifying client interactions. Job expectations include being customer oriented and data driven, while focusing on continuous improvement. LOB Job Description: Provides technical and analytical support in a Global Markets Loan Operations function for one or more operations product areas. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May manage projects and/or the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes, coordinating necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and/or products. As a technical expert, may also function as an informal team lead, providing work direction and technical guidance to less experienced employees in resolving complex transactions and operational problems. Requires extensive experience in an operations support function with thorough working knowledge of fundamental business structure and operational aspects for specific transactions and products. As a technical expert, will consult on a wide variety of topics across functional and business support lines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Strong Microsoft Office Skills: Excel (vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc.), Copilot, Word & PowerPoint.
Client facing experience or ability to conduct discussions with Clients in a confident manner.
Risk minded - able to identify issues and escalate to management.
Ability to work under pressure in a team environment during critical funding periods.
Works well in a team environment and maintains focus to achieve the goals of the business.

Nice To Haves

2 years of relevant experience working with commercial loan products or working in roles involving financial mechanics (e.g., financial reconciliation, trade processing, legal documentation review for reconciliation of operational mechanics).

Responsibilities

Provides operational support for one or more activities within the lifecycle of a trade, including trade processing, trade settlement, accounting and reconciliation, lifecycle events, and collateral management
Provides simplified client interactions and deepens client relationships across Global Banking and Markets' clients
Completes accurate, timely clearing and settlement of trades with internal and external counterparties including reconciliation management and governance of trade fails and breaks
Performs tasks accurately during high volume periods in a team environment
Improves and simplifies the client experience, reducing manual touchpoints
Supports the implementation of new processes to improve the overall business operating model
Identifies and flags potential risks in a timely manner
The role involves providing support for the various US based Loan Operations teams in relation to Data Quality, Control monitoring and assistance, automation and process overnight.
Day-to-day actions are more focused on providing managerial support and QA review within the teams.
Functions could include technical enhancements and process review along with suggestions for enhancements and management of process change.
