About The Position

The Marketplace Manager will own and grow Hourglass's marketplace business, with primary responsibility for Amazon and TikTok Shop. As a highly hands-on individual contributor, this role drives profitable growth, operational excellence, and customer acquisition while protecting Hourglass's luxury positioning through direct execution across marketplace operations, content, merchandising, advertising, and account management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce or marketplace management, including direct ownership of Amazon Seller Central operations and performance.
  • Demonstrated expertise with listings, variations, flat files, backend keywords, catalog management, and marketplace troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience optimizing marketplace content, merchandising, and customer experience.
  • Experience with FBA, inventory planning, forecasting, account health, compliance, and operational issue resolution.
  • Experience managing or overseeing marketplace advertising programs and agency partners.
  • Experience with creator, affiliate, influencer, or social commerce programs; TikTok Shop experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency and experience leveraging AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve productivity, insight generation, and business outcomes.
  • Comfortable working directly within Amazon Seller Central and marketplace platforms on a daily basis, with a willingness to own both strategy and execution.
  • Experience managing external agencies, vendors, and technology partners.
  • Excellent cross-functional communicator with the ability to prioritize, influence, and execute in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own marketplace performance across Amazon and future marketplace channels.
  • Protect and enhance Hourglass's luxury positioning through marketplace pricing, assortment, content, promotions, and customer experience.
  • Manage product catalog operations, including listings, variations, flat files, keyword optimization, product data maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Optimize marketplace content and merchandising, including PDPs, A+ content, Brand Stores, imagery, videos, FAQs, and other customer-facing experiences.
  • Lead new product launches end-to-end, from content readiness and QA through launch execution and performance monitoring.
  • Own marketplace operations, including inventory planning, FBA execution, Seller Central administration, issue resolution, reimbursements, launch tracking, and promotional calendars.
  • Build and maintain marketplace workflows, SOPs, trackers, and reporting processes to ensure continuity, scalability, and cross-functional clarity.
  • Serve as the primary owner of marketplace agency relationships, setting priorities, reviewing performance, providing strategic direction, and holding partners accountable to growth, profitability, operational, and brand objectives.
  • Develop and oversee marketplace advertising programs, ensuring investments support business goals and deliver efficient growth.
  • Experience managing affiliate, creator, and social commerce programs; TikTok Shop experience is a plus.
  • Monitor account health, Buy Box ownership, pricing integrity, listing suppression, unauthorized sellers, compliance risks, and fulfillment issues.
  • Own marketplace reporting and analysis, leveraging AI and automation to uncover insights, improve decision-making, and streamline workflows.
