About The Position

The Marketing Student role at Civil West, part of the PCL Family of Companies, offers an opportunity to collaborate with teams across the district to create engaging content, support strategic campaigns, and showcase the impact of our work. PCL focuses on building opportunities, careers, and communities, investing in its people and projects. This role is for individuals currently enrolled in a graphic design or digital media program in a post-secondary institution who are looking to grow their career in the construction industry.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a graphic design or digital media program in a post-secondary institution.
Proficient understanding and a solid working skill set in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Ability to create visually compelling materials, including PowerPoints.
Skillfully creative with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a dynamic environment.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and a time management guru.
Possesses excellent oral and written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Figma is an asset.

Responsibilities

Contributes to the company-wide visual strategy for internal and external visual communication activities, products, and initiatives, including digital brochures, social media content, visual design requests, and photography post-processing.
Develops visually compelling materials, guided by corporate brand guidelines, for marketing campaigns, communication strategies, and the intranet or website.
Manages tasks and priorities as part of a creative team working within project schedules, existing processes, and deadlines.
Supports presentations through the creation or formatting of engaging PowerPoints.
Develops strong customer-focused relationships with internal stakeholders.
Works collaboratively with a talented team of creative professionals in design, UX/UI, and cinematography.
