About The Position

The Marketing Specialist serves as a key internal support role to the firm's attorneys in the development and maintenance of client relationships and business development initiatives. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, this position will support the ongoing initiatives of the marketing department, including interaction with external vendors, pitch and request for proposal preparation, events and seminar planning, contact and database management maintenance, and assisting with all phases of digital marketing projects. The position will also handle general administrative support, including setting up meetings, editing, and proofreading.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Marketing and client development experience in a professional services environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with Canva.
  • Strong writing skills with excellent grammar and editing.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's in marketing, public relations, or related field.
  • Experience with video production, editing, and multimedia content.
  • Familiarity with Photoshop and AI-assisted marketing tools.
  • Knowledge of Associated Press style.
  • Prior experience with HubSpot and WordPress content management systems (CMS).
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the marketing database to ensure that it has current information to pull from for marketing related materials.
  • Review, write, and edit firm and client prospect correspondence, including newsletters, email marketing, and press releases.
  • Manage and maintain the firm's website and social media platforms.
  • Track and report on digital marketing performance metrics, including website traffic, email engagement, social media analytics, search engine optimization performance, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop and proofread content created for attorney biographies, blogs, articles, and publications.
  • Develop brochures and practice group content.
  • Manage the practice group and firm committee rosters.
  • Coordinate and attend firm-wide business development activities including practice group and employee resource group meetings.
  • Take meeting minutes.
  • Assist with media relations efforts including scheduling press releases, coordinating announcements, securing placement of articles in third party publications, tracking media coverage, and maintaining media contact lists.
  • Plan and implement various social programs for clients, which include party planning, sports outings, and other social engagements.
  • Coordinate seminars, webinars, CLE programs, sponsorships, and client events.
  • Manage logistics, invitations and responses, accreditation, vendor scheduling, and follow up communications.
  • Handle continuing education accreditation.
  • Design advertisements and coordinate with accounts payable for any sponsorships, programs, charitable events or contributions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and outside organizations.
  • Oversee various promotions and sports ticket distributions.
