About The Position

Calgon Carbon | A Kuraray Company currently has an opportunity where you can be a part of our growing team as we provide our customers with outstanding products that make the air we breathe and the water we use safe for generations to come. The Marketing Specialist I will support content development, campaign coordination, digital marketing, and reporting activities. The Marketing Specialist I supports the business line with marketing collateral and research, competitive tracking, marketing metrics, and reporting on plans and advertising activities. The Marketing Specialist I develops and updates marketing materials, supports online posting and distribution, and helps communicate product and service value. The Marketing Specialist I also supports lead generation, conferences, advertising, email campaigns, analytics, and vendor coordination.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required
  • 0-2 years marketing (e.g., Marketing Strategy, Marketing Collateral and Content), communications, or technical sales experience with a chemical/environmental B2B company is required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with commonly used software for marketing and overall purposes: MS Office (including Excel, Word, Office, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.), Constant Contact, Salesforce/CRM, On24, Asana, Brandfolder/DAM, Google Analytics, etc. is preferred
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) is preferred
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital marketing trends is preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of marketing campaigns that build product awareness, reinforce key messaging, and generate leads for the Drinking Water Solutions business line
  • Assist with marketing activities that engage customers, including webinars, blogs, conferences, social media posts, email campaigns, and videos
  • Coordinate outside vendors regarding marketing collateral and other assigned marketing projects
  • Conduct market research to help identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
  • Help track and share relevant regulatory updates with the team
  • Work with sales, product management, engineering, R&D, field services, communications, and other teams to help turn product information, service details, and data into clear marketing materials and sales tools such as presentations, data sheets, FAQs, brochures, one-pagers, guides, and advertisements
  • Create, edit, and update marketing content and technical support materials, including case studies, tech notes, and other collateral, to clearly explain product features and benefits
  • Monitor marketing activity results and help organize data for future campaign improvements
  • Prepare internal updates and reports on marketing projects, results, and market information
