This role is a senior individual contributor position focused on proving and improving advertisers' media performance. The Marketing Scientist will work with sales, partners, and clients on various measurement aspects, including verification, attribution, incrementality, brand studies, marketing mix modeling (MMM), and scalable advertiser reporting. Initial priorities include advancing incrementality measurement, onboarding measurement partners to privacy-forward workflows, and creating scalable support tools and workflows for sales and clients. The role is based in San Francisco or New York with a hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday).

Requirements

  • Deep expertise (10+ years) in advertising measurement, including experimentation, incrementality testing, attribution, and econometric approaches such as MMM.
  • Hands-on senior individual contributor who works directly with large datasets using SQL, Python or R, and AI-enabled analytical workflows, without sacrificing rigor or judgment.
  • Trusted client advisor who can navigate sophisticated advertiser questions, measurement discrepancies, and executive conversations with clarity and sound judgment.
  • Designed or operated lift and incrementality programs, including experiment design, power analysis, governance, diagnostics, and statistical quality standards.
  • Experience with third-party measurement providers, partner onboarding, APIs or data integrations, and translating partner needs into practical product requirements.
  • Partnered effectively with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to turn measurement methodology into scalable tools, reporting, or platform capabilities.
  • Can translate complex statistical concepts into practical decisions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments and can influence across teams without relying on formal authority.
  • Care deeply about privacy-forward, trustworthy measurement that helps advertisers understand, prove, and improve media performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales, advertisers, and agencies to shape learning agendas, interpret results, and improve media performance.
  • Apply rigorous advertising measurement approaches across attribution, incrementality, marketing mix modeling, and other relevant methodologies.
  • Develop scalable measurement programs and guidance that improve decisions and adoption of rigorous measurement practices.
  • Shape advertiser-facing insights experiences that translate campaign and audience data into actionable performance recommendations.
  • Conduct auction optimization analyses to identify delivery, pricing, and performance opportunities that improve advertiser outcomes.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly and uphold high standards for privacy, quality, transparency, and responsible interpretation.
