About The Position

This position is part of a team that provides support to our sales and retention representatives. The role involves data gathering, data entry and analysis, proposal and financial exhibit development, and coordination with internal and external customers for the installation and renewal of employer group benefits.

Requirements

  • Above average ability working with software and systems, both current company systems and alternative industry standards.
  • Proficient in Excel and all Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated application of financial and business knowledge based on area of expertise.
  • Well-developed presentation skills to clients, within the department, and to project teams.
  • Ability to use initiative to identify and overcome obstacles, manage through ambiguity, remain focused, and be highly productive.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and at all levels as both a self-starter and in a team environment.
  • Ability to think and work independently, critically, creatively, analytically, and with sound judgment.

  • Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Health insurance experience preferred.
  • Licensed Life and Health insurance agent in the state of Oklahoma, OR ability to obtain license within 45 days after hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor email and respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) by gathering benefit information, coordinating responses, inputting data, and maintaining documentation.
  • Utilize a proposal template to prepare proposals for benefit plan offerings.
  • Analyze and prepare benefit comparisons and assist in making recommendations.
  • Coordinate and work closely with sales and retention team members to review contracts for new or renewing groups.
  • Develop relationships with agent contacts for validation or to request missing information.
  • Coordinate and track workflow for installing group changes, including new submissions, renewals, group changes, and terminations.
  • Perform detailed technical work and client communication, such as delivering reports and models.
  • Work closely with external agents, underwriting, configuration, enrollment, customer service, and data analysis and reporting teams.
  • Understand and demonstrate project management skills, including managing the quality and timeliness of client deliverables, participating in client calls and meetings, and assisting with client communications.
  • Provide general department support, including cross-covering for alternate team members and answering/routing incoming calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
