About The Position

The Marketing & Business Development Representative is responsible for generating referrals, developing community partnerships, increasing brand awareness, and supporting census growth throughout the Chinatown market. This position serves as Serenity Home Healthcare's primary community liaison within the assigned territory and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, community organizations, and prospective clients.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years of healthcare marketing, home healthcare marketing, business development, community outreach, or related experience preferred.
Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/tracking systems.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Rockford service area.
Able to Speak Taishanese or Cantonese or Mandarin

Nice To Haves

Home Health, Home Care, Hospice, Senior Services, Healthcare, or Managed Care Organization (MCO) marketing experience.
Existing professional relationships within the Chinatown healthcare community preferred

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physician offices, senior housing communities, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and community organizations.
Conduct routine in-person visits to referral sources within the assigned territory.
Identify, develop, and secure new referral opportunities.
Maintain a consistent outreach schedule and document all activities within company tracking systems.
Represent Serenity Home Healthcare at networking events, health fairs, senior expos, community meetings, and industry functions.
Deliver marketing materials, educational resources, and promotional items to referral partners.
Coordinate and conduct introductory presentations for prospective referral sources and community partners.
Maintain ongoing communication with existing referral partners to strengthen relationships and increase referral volume.
Develop and execute a territory growth plan focused on increasing referrals and service hours.
Analyze referral trends and identify opportunities for market expansion.
Track competitor activity and provide market intelligence to leadership.
Identify underserved areas and strategic growth opportunities within the Rockford region.
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure successful client admissions and service delivery.
Plan and participate in community outreach initiatives that increase visibility and community engagement.
Coordinate educational presentations, workshops, and informational sessions for community partners and healthcare professionals.
Assist with recruitment outreach efforts as needed to support caregiver growth within the market.
Maintain a strong presence within local healthcare and senior service networks.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral source visits, presentations, and community events.
Submit weekly outreach reports, referral updates, and territory development plans.
Monitor referral outcomes and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates.
Meet established goals for outreach activity, referral generation, and territory growth.
Maintain weekly outreach activity goals.
Participate in community events and networking opportunities.
Develop and grow referral source relationships.
Support achievement of branch census and service hour growth goals.
