About The Position

The Marketing Recruitment Strategist is responsible for developing and executing recruitment-focused marketing campaigns that support Illinois Central College’s enrollment goals. Working under the direction of the Manager of Marketing and Content Strategy, this role translates campaign strategy into coordinated, multi-channel marketing execution, ensuring alignment with audience needs, enrollment cycles, and institutional priorities. The Strategist plays a key role in advancing enrollment growth across priority areas including 8-week classes, adult learners, Early College, and workforce development, delivering each campaign with clarity, consistency, and measurable impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, campaign coordination, or enrollment marketing.
  • 3+ years of project management.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in higher education recruitment marketing.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Slate), Project Management Systems (Asana, Wrike, TDNext).
  • Experience with audience segmentation and user experience journey mapping.
  • Experience with digital marketing channels and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Execute integrated recruitment marketing campaigns aligned with strategies defined by the Manager of Marketing and Content Strategy.
  • Deliver campaigns on time and accurately, timed to enrollment cycles.
  • Apply audience segmentation and personas to campaign planning and execution.
  • Translate messaging frameworks into clear, scannable audience-specific campaign writing and calls to action.
  • Maintain a consistent OneICC story that supports institutional priorities.
  • Work closely with Admissions to align campaign execution with recruitment priorities, funnel stages, and communication timing.
  • Coordinate Slate communications with Admissions across sequencing, messaging, and audience targeting.
  • Implement lead nurturing campaigns and communication flows.
  • Track campaign performance and engagement metrics across channels in dashboards shared with leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness based on data and feedback.
  • Compile campaign reporting and performance summaries for stakeholders.
  • Participate in campaign debriefs and recommend adjustments for future efforts.
  • Maintain campaign calendars and ensure visibility of marketing activities across stakeholders.
  • Project manage enrollment campaigns, so deliverables are clearly defined, tracked, completed, and evaluated.
  • Develop and apply standard processes, templates, and workflows for campaign execution.
  • Perform related duties as required.
