About The Position

The Marketing Operations Manager, along with the VP of Marketing, will partner with Home Office Marketing, Player Development, and property operational leaders for the creation, implementation, and execution of ClubJACK and Retail Customer programming. This role involves essential functions oversight of the Promotions and ClubJACK teams, including team member training, development, and evaluation. The manager will champion team member morale, motivation, open communication, and organizational improvements to streamline procedures, work processes, and program effectiveness, thereby increasing productivity and performance while maintaining program value and overall property vision. Responsibilities include creating and distributing information regarding promotions, VIP functions, and marketing events, formulating rules in accordance with state guidelines, and ensuring ethical and fair promotion execution. The role also entails managing the ordering and inventory of monetary marketing assets, ClubJACK and promotional supplies, department P&Ls, administrative functions, and shift scheduling. Ensuring appropriate staffing levels for promotions, maintaining a clean and professional environment for the Promotions Center and ClubJACK areas, and providing exemplary guest service are also key. The manager will coordinate promotions and event programming with departments, lead communications with property leaders, manage vendor accounts, and contribute to the marketing calendar to drive guest visits, player loyalty, and revenue. Execution of on-site promotions and events, including guest experience, rule compliance, and logistics, as well as all aspects of the ClubJACK program, are critical. The role requires the ability to obtain money from the cage and distribute prize money, assist the Director of Marketing, and ensure compliance with all policies and regulatory requirements. A strong focus on creating a compliance culture and fostering an environment for reporting potential violations is expected. The manager will establish department performance goals, monitor results, maintain confidentiality, and perform administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends as well as the ability to work extended hours during special events.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours or more).
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
  • Ability to maintain composure and excellent guest relations under all circumstances.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp and grip items, sort, tear and have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Ability to manage multiple objectives and tasks simultaneously and be able to continually assess and re-set priorities.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively, and comfortable and adept with public speaking.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • BS/BA in Sales, Marketing, Finance or similar related field preferred.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years in marketing experience in Casino, Hospitality, or Entertainment environment and/or general marketing with a focus on event planning and promotions.
  • Minimum two (2) years of previous leadership experience, including budget preparation, forecasting and expense management.
  • Excellent organization, communication, administrative, managerial skills, problem solving, leadership and analytical skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products is required.
  • Detail oriented and possesses organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Home Office Marketing, Player Development, and property operational leaders for the creation, implementation, and execution of ClubJACK and Retail Customer programming.
  • Oversight of the Promotions and ClubJACK teams, including team member training, development, and evaluation.

  • Create and distribute information regarding all promotions, VIP functions, and other marketing events.
  • Formulate rules for promotions, adhering to state guidelines and submitting them for compliance.
  • Ensure promotions are executed ethically and fairly in accordance with guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage the ordering and inventory of all monetary marketing assets, including gifts, lottery tickets, TITO tickets, and gift-card inventory.
  • Order and maintain all ClubJACK and promotional supplies such as Loyalty cards, receipt paper, and necessary hardware.
  • Manage department P&Ls, administrative functions, and shift scheduling.
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate based on forecasted business levels for each promotion.
  • Ensure the Promotions Center and ClubJACK areas are clean, organized, and represent a professional environment.
  • Showcase exemplary guest service and resolve marketing operations guest issues within a timely manner.
  • Coordinate promotions and event programming with all appropriate departments.
  • Lead all communications with property leaders for optimal awareness and event execution.
  • Manage all vendor accounts, ensuring proper licensing, maintenance of relationships, and timely issuance of payments.
  • Contribute to the development of promotions and events on the marketing calendar to drive incremental guest visits, increase player loyalty, and generate revenue.
  • Execute all on-site Promotions and Events, including owning the guest experience, monitoring rule compliance, and handling all on-site logistics.
  • Execute all aspects of the ClubJACK program, including coupon management, monitoring guest comping programs, and property promotional redemptions.
  • Obtain money from the cage and distribute promotional prize money on the gaming floor.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing in other assigned duties.
  • Ensure compliance with all established departmental and companywide policies, the Code of Commitment, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow all Purchasing guidelines, ensuring all necessary documents are complete and processed in a timely manner.
  • Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where team members feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.
  • Establish department performance goals, monitor, and report on results for all assigned programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all matters regarding guests, team members, and business operations.
  • Perform administrative duties as required, complete necessary reports, and other related assignments and projects in a timely fashion.
