Marketing Operations Lead

GC AI
•$150,000 - $200,000•Remote

About The Position

In-house lawyers learn AI through our Maven classes, free courses at gc.ai/learn-ai, live webinars, our newsletter, and the social content they share with peers. That funnel runs from class registrant to trial user to paid seat to team expansion, and it needs one owner. In November 2025, Scale Venture Partners and Northzone led our $60M Series B. You'll use that runway to build marketing operations that scale with the next 2,100 teams. As our first Marketing Operations Lead, you'll own the systems, data, reporting, and operating rhythm underneath marketing, so every program connects to the pipeline and revenue.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in marketing operations, revenue operations, or go-to-market operations at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Systems and data infrastructure you built from the ground up at a high-growth startup.
  • Deep, hands-on HubSpot admin experience: workflows, lifecycle stages, custom objects, and backend configuration. Salesforce experience, including the sync between the two.
  • A lead scoring and routing model you designed, shipped, and measured.
  • Attribution and pipeline reporting that sales and finance use to make decisions.
  • Forecasting and financial fluency. You build pipeline and return-on-investment (ROI) models from scratch.
  • Comfort with SQL, APIs, and webhooks, enough to trace a record through three systems on your own.
  • Strong process design and documentation habits.

Nice To Haves

  • Marketing to legal, compliance, or other regulated buyers.
  • Free-trial or product-led funnels, and product analytics in Segment or Amplitude.
  • Connecting webinar, event, and course platforms such as Zoom, Sequel.io, or Maven to a CRM.
  • Building landing pages, configuring tools, or troubleshooting technical issues when developer time is short.
  • Managing contractors, agencies, or a small team.
  • Series A through Series C startup experience.
  • Business intelligence work in BigQuery, DreamData including reporting that has gone in front of a board.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing tech stack. Architecture, configuration, integrations, vendor evaluation, renewals, and budget, centered on HubSpot, BigQuery, DreamData, PostHog and other tools. You add what the team needs and retire what it has outgrown.
  • Lead lifecycle and routing. Buyer journey mapping, lifecycle stages, lead scoring, routing, sales handoff, and rules of engagement, all defined from a systems perspective. Every trial signup and demo request reaches the right person with full context.
  • Attribution and reporting. End-to-end analytics: UTM tracking parameters, QR codes, cross-page attribution, ad pixels, and a B2B attribution model. You define how GC AI measures marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue, and you own the dashboards leadership uses.
  • Campaign operations. A repeatable build, QA, and launch process for classes, webinars, email, and paid programs. Templatized where it helps, with room for bespoke work.
  • Web and conversion. Landing pages, sign-up and trial flows, calls to action, and site instrumentation, built with design and engineering. You run tests with sales, Revenue Operations, and engineering, and ship what wins.
  • Account-based marketing (ABM) execution. You turn ABM and pipeline strategy into coordinated plays across paid media, email, and sales enablement.
  • Data quality and compliance. Deduplication, enrichment, field standards, and consent management across 53 countries, under CAN-SPAM, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
  • Program management. Scope marketing projects, set timelines, lock owners, and surface risks early, so leadership knows what's on track.
  • Internal tools and documentation. Build automations that make the team faster, and document every system so a smart colleague can run it in your absence.
