About The Position

The Marketing Operations Assistant Co-Op entails working as a member of the Marketing Operations team within the Customer Experience and Marketing department of the Massachusetts Medical Society’s Publishing Division, which publishes the New England Journal of Medicine, NEJM Catalyst, NEJM Evidence, and NEJM Clinician newsletters. They will gain valuable experience in marketing operations and marketing technologies such as marketing automation, onsite contextual messaging ad serving, ad campaign management, landing page optimization, web analytics and campaign reporting. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn about marketing operations, marketing technology tools, campaign planning, strategy, and tactics from a highly respected organization with strong brand recognition. The candidate will become an integral part of the Marketing Operations team and will learn to work with new systems, juggle various priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with a variety of business stakeholders supported by Marketing Operations, all of which will help the candidate develop their career path. The candidate will participate in marketing operations meetings with exposure to developing strategy, tactics, and analysis for marketing campaigns. Nice To Haves

  • An understanding of Business Intelligence and Web Analytics principles and terminology is a plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support for a wide variety of marketing operations initiatives including ad campaign planning and scheduling, campaign set-up, testing and QA, email and ad campaign reporting, research, and some administrative office responsibilities.
  • Create marketing campaign reports.
  • Assist with marketing campaign analytics and reporting for email promotions and ad campaigns (contextual messaging and banner ads).
  • Manage promotions in e-newsletters and website properties.
  • Traffic and report on onsite ads for marketing campaigns.
  • Review test emails, verify links, and validate that landing pages and ecommerce pages are functioning properly.
  • Perform QA and testing of landing pages and ecommerce pages.
  • Create documentation for campaign reporting processes.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
