About The Position

The Marketing Manager - Partnership Marketing Sponsorship & Business Development will lead end-to-end Partnership Marketing initiatives aligned with brand campaigns and device launches. This role involves negotiating and executing commercial terms and contracts with major media and internet brands, driving cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Procurement teams. The position requires serving as an internal expert and consultant on Partnerships and Business Development strategy, and tracking, analyzing, and reporting against marketing/Partnership KPIs with corrective action as needed.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or business management
  • 8 years+ in Partnership Marketing, Partnerships, Sponsorship, Activation, Business Development, Account Management or Channel Sales Management
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with a strong bias for upholding legal, compliance and financial policies
  • Business development/Partnerships/Account Management experience negotiating complex deals with large, international companies
  • Experience working with technology platforms and internet brands
  • Strong project/program management experience; comfortable presenting at CxO level
  • An iterative thinker who can challenge the status quo; consummate collaborator committed to communication excellence

Responsibilities

  • Identify the right Partnerships that align with the Brand, specific campaigns and device launches
  • Establish and execute professional Partnership frameworks that bring to life Partner and product & human truths to create brand and business synergies
  • Negotiate & execute commercial terms & contracts to secure partnerships — working with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, Compliance and Procurement
  • Take end-to-end accountability for bringing Partnerships to life in marketing — always with a consumer-first mindset
  • Track, analyze and report against marketing/Partnerships KPIs and metrics, and take corrective action where needed
  • Take a consultative role for multiple internal stakeholders — be a source of expertise in Partnerships and Business Development
  • Identify synergies between Partnerships and Carrier/Retail account teams to amplify Partnerships using their scale and resources
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure all plans are within budget and all approvals handled within compliance and guidelines
  • Develop best practice around information sharing and evangelizing Partnerships across the organization
