About The Position

The executive communications production team seeks a storyteller to produce compelling, original executive appearances for C-level executives and other key spokespeople. This role will support the development of best-in-class presentations and stage productions, from intimate conversations to very large tradeshow keynotes, including livestream components. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker and organized problem solver who thrives in a high-stakes, high-pressure, fast-paced environment without sacrificing attention to detail. The work includes managing creative and production agencies to drive development of graphics/slides, videos, and stagecraft. Working under the guidance of creative leads, s/he will need to manage several projects with varying scopes and deadlines concurrently, keeping track of fast-moving timelines and logistics. Clear and timely communications skills are key. So is the ability to make skillful judgement calls in a deadline environment. This role requires close collaboration with other marketing and business groups, as well as external partners, to ensure that we tell the best story possible during our shows. S/he should be able to build relationships and cross-functional project plans. S/he should also be comfortable in an engineering-focused tech environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years developing marketing communications projects for C-level executives, preferably in the tech industry
  • A knowledge of show production, including stagecraft and audio/visual systems
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • The ability to craft a compelling story
  • Project management expertise, including overseeing budgets and timelines
  • Ability to present and work with executive management
  • Excellent people skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with video production, including filmmaking principles and practice are a plus
  • Ability to travel to events and shoots, including some international events

Responsibilities

  • Independently producing small executive presentation and video projects from initial development to final execution
  • Producing mid-sized projects with limited oversight
  • Working as part of a team on large, multi-faceted projects; independently owning and executing a portion of those projects while understanding how they roll up to the larger effort
  • Working closely with agency partners to manage the development of slides, animations and videos that effectively communicate executive messages and are compliant with Qualcomm brand, legal and style requirements
