About The Position

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for a Marketing Manager – Direct Mail to lead the strategy and execution of CBN’s direct mail fundraising program. In this role, you’ll manage donor list strategy, mail scheduling, audience segmentation, creative development, testing, and campaign analysis to help drive sustainable donor revenue and build long-term donor relationships. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN’s Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 annually. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on a combination of education, relevant experience, and demonstrated skills aligned with the role requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in direct response fundraising, direct mail marketing, or related nonprofit roles
  • Demonstrated experience with direct mail fundraising, including large donor list management, mail scheduling, and testing methodologies
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation tools (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
  • Understanding of marketing and fundraising funnels, audience segmentation strategies, and data-driven decision-making
  • Experience overseeing or managing copywriting and design for direct mail or other donor/direct response communications
  • Strong eye for brand consistency, messaging clarity, and donor-appropriate tone across copy and creative
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors, timelines, and multi-channel projects
  • Familiarity with donor-centric fundraising theory and best practices
  • Openness to and familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI, and their application to direct mail strategy and efficiency
  • Strong management skills with ability to lead with vision and compassion, motivating direct reports and building collaborative relationships across departments
  • Critical thinker with ability to analyze and make sound recommendations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as be an effective member of a team
  • Passion for CBN's mission of preaching the Gospel to the nations and a genuine care for donors

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in shaping and growing CBN’s direct mail fundraising program, overseeing strategy and execution across donor lists, mail schedules, segmentation, donor journeys, creative development, and testing.
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, Marketing, Research, Donor Care, Mail Services, Production, and other teams to ensure campaigns are donor-focused, strategically aligned, and delivered on time.
  • Analyze campaign and donor data to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and make recommendations that improve results.
  • Coordinate direct mail efforts across CBN’s family of brands.
  • Explore AI and emerging technologies to enhance personalization, efficiency, testing, and overall performance.
