Sumble IncSan Francisco, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Sumble is seeking a Marketing Lead to own customer engagement and market presence. This senior individual contributor role focuses on transforming existing customers into marketing assets and orchestrating events, webinars, and social media to build Sumble's audience in the GTM tech space. The role emphasizes the use of modern AI tooling to enable a single operator to achieve significant output. This is a 'Super IC' position, offering full strategic ownership, stakeholder authority, and budget accountability, with the expectation that the individual will execute the work themselves. The ideal candidate is energized by this autonomous, high-impact operating model.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in GTM tech (sales tech, data infrastructure, RevOps platforms, or similar).
  • Experience marketing to GTM buyers (CROs, RevOps, sales leaders, marketing ops) and understanding their personas, content consumption, and engagement habits.
  • Depth in customer marketing and community/events, with end-to-end ownership experience in at least one of these functions.
  • A 'Super IC' operating style: experience building initiatives from scratch, ruthless prioritization, independent decision-making, and a preference for individual contribution over management.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency in real production workflows, with concrete examples of using AI to improve speed, quality, or efficiency.
  • Publicly comfortable presenting and engaging on stage, webinars, camera, and social media.
  • Strong writing skills for customer stories, social posts, event scripts, and executive ghost-writing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with experience managing calendars, budgets, multiple stakeholders, and recurring programs.
  • Fluent in standard B2B marketing stack (e.g., HubSpot or Marketo, Salesforce, modern social tools, basic analytics) and adaptable to new tools.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in San Francisco is preferred, but remote work in US time zones is workable.
  • Experience with modern AI tooling as a core part of job execution.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the customer advocacy program, including references, case studies, customer-led content, video testimonials, and customer speakers for events.
  • Leverage Sumble's usage data and platform metadata to create first-party industry insights for reports, social content, and customer/prospect conversations.
  • Develop a consistent cadence of customer insights work, including structured interviews, voice-of-customer synthesis, and feedback loops to product, sales, and CS.
  • Own the customer aspect of launches and announcements, securing reference customers, drafting their stories, and arranging quotes and speaking opportunities.
  • Build scalable systems for customer marketing, such as a Customer Advisory Board (CAB), reference database, and advocate tiering.
  • Own the end-to-end event strategy, encompassing hosted events (webinars, dinners, meetups), self-hosted physical events (user gatherings, regional events), and third-party sponsorships (trade shows, conferences).
  • Make strategic decisions on event participation, sponsorship, and hosting based on a clear pipeline and brand thesis.
  • Manage the operational aspects of events, including budget, vendor management, speaker coordination, run-of-show, lead capture, and post-event follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain a forward-looking 6-12 month event calendar.
  • Travel frequently for customer engagements and events.
  • Own Sumble's social media presence across all channels, with a primary focus on LinkedIn.
  • Maintain a consistent posting cadence through an editorial calendar.
  • Drive thought leader engagement by activating internal voices (founders, execs) and engaging authentically with external thought leaders through guest appearances, podcasts, and joint content.
  • Treat social media as a system with defined content pillars, distribution loops, measurement, and iteration.
  • Utilize AI tooling to enhance productivity and output in all areas of responsibility.
