Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at UW–Stevens Point
  • Junior or Senior standing (60+ earned credits)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Must identify as one or more of the following: First-generation college student, Non-traditional student, Pell-eligible student
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and willingness to learn additional software platforms
  • Ability to work independently after receiving direction and training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Effective time management, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge and proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram
  • Ability to understand and communicate general business information effectively
  • Ability to present information clearly to individuals and groups
  • Ability to communicate positively and professionally with YMCA staff and members
  • Ability to solve practical problems using creativity and sound judgment
  • Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to analyze details and complete tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team in the development and execution of digital and print marketing.
  • Create, manage and deploy content across digital and print channels, including website, email and social media.
  • Manage website content to ensure an optimal user experience across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to plan and execute marketing campaigns and events.
  • Assist with writing, editing, and optimizing digital and print materials, including product messaging and brand storytelling.
  • Maintaining marketing processes, best practices, and documentation while ensuring all materials align with brand guidelines.
  • Meet established project deadlines and proactively communicate progress, updates, and potential issues to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a backup support resource across other areas of the marketing team as needed.
  • Assist with social media engagement and content creation.
  • Design posters, flyers, bulletin boards, and graphics for YMCA programs and events.
  • Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned by the Marketing Coordinator and/or Mission Advancement Director.
