Working as a Marketing Intern, you’ll collaborate with on-site operations, culinary and nutrition team members to execute student experience programs. Areas of responsibility include the cafeteria environment (décor, signage and merchandising), student engagement and nutrition education programs, hospitality, and promotions. You’ll partner with the school district’s communication team to engage and inform key stakeholders – clients, school staff, parents and students. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with solid strategic thinking and a service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Execute marketing programs in partnership with operators and regional support teams to ensure continued engagement from student, clients and communities
  • Train and support operators in the implementation of student-facing and front-of-house programs, systems, and processes
  • Customize marketing materials – e.g. social media posts, flyers, brochures and client presentations – and coordinate with district communications teams to execute
  • Conduct focus groups to understand what students and parents are looking for in the school meal program and identify areas for improvement
  • Assess the front-of-house operations for the student experience, operating standards, and signature programs being in place, and work with operators to monitor results and improve over time
  • Collect data and report on return on investment and key performance metrics
