About The Position

Primitives By Kathy is a leading wholesaler of home décor and gift products, known for creative design, trend-forward product innovation, and strong retailer relationships. The Marketing Graphic Designer is an integral part of the Marketing department, responsible for developing compelling visual materials that support brand awareness, product launches, sales initiatives, digital campaigns, and customer engagement. We are seeking a talented and creative Marketing Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on branding, print design, and creating promotional graphics. Additionally, you will assist with social media and digital content creation to help elevate our brand's visual identity across various platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and has a strong understanding of design principles, marketing strategies, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing Design, or related field
3+ years of experience in marketing or brand design
Strong portfolio demonstrating digital, social media, video, and print design
Demonstrated graphic design experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in place of some educational requirements
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Express, Premiere Pro)
Video editing and motion graphics experience
Understanding of social media formats, digital advertising, and content optimization
Experience designing for both print production and digital platforms
Familiarity with brand guidelines and marketing campaign design
Strong visual storytelling ability
Detail-oriented with strong typography and layout skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Collaborative mindset with marketing teams
Ability to receive feedback and incorporate revisions in a timely and professional manner

Nice To Haves

Experience in the Gift & Home industry is a plus
Experience with project management and collaboration tools is preferred
Some photography or photo editing experience
Experience with short-form social video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
Knowledge of basic UX/UI or web design principles
Experience in ecommerce or consumer product marketing

Responsibilities

Maintain brand guidelines across all marketing materials
Ensure visual consistency across campaigns, platforms, and customer touchpoints
Translate marketing strategies into cohesive visual storytelling
Collaborate on the development of logos, color schemes, typography, and other brand assets
Design catalogs, flyers, signage, packaging elements, showroom assets, and promotional materials
Ensure designs are print-ready, meet specifications, and are delivered on time for production
Design graphics for social media campaigns, ads, and organic content
Create appealing visual content optimized for social platforms that supports audience growth and brand engagement
Assist in creating assets for email campaigns, websites, blogs, and digital advertisements
Create motion graphics, animated text, and visual effects for digital campaigns
Optimize video content for different social media and e-commerce platforms
Collaborate with marketing, content, and product teams
Participate in brainstorming and creative development for marketing initiatives
Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high design standards
