About The Position

The Graphic Design Intern role is on the Creative Services team, which includes graphic design, copywriting, and photography. This team contributes to new product launches and day-to-day projects across the SWF family of brands. Creative team members collaborate to develop work that achieves goals, adheres to brand standards, and prioritizes the consumer. The Graphic Design Intern will support the retail channel’s Fall 2027 Launch by creating visual assets for print, social media, web, and email. This role involves hands-on creative execution, consumer and market research, and translating insights into compelling design work. The intern will work closely with copywriters, graphic designers, product managers, and channel marketing to produce cohesive, on-brand creative and learn about the launch campaign process from concept to execution. This position is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented student who enjoys translating research and feedback into polished visual work, collaborating across teams, and exploring new tools and approaches to content creation.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A portfolio demonstrating design skills across print and/or digital media.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to take direction and incorporate feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating assets for social media, web, or email marketing.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative or content tools.
  • Coursework or project experience involving consumer or market research.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, retail, or consumer products environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research the Fall 2027 launch product lines, using primary and secondary research to inform design ideas.
  • Identify consumer needs, trends, technologies, and business models driving growth, using that information to influence the creation of visual assets for print, social media, web, and email.
  • Attend team meetings and creative briefings to understand project goals.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, graphic designers, product managers, and channel marketing to create cohesive pieces supporting the launch.
  • Take feedback from senior team members and revise work accordingly.
  • Make recommendations on how to adapt the company’s specific brand voice to be more responsive to the current retail environment.
  • Research and test AI tools that could help to streamline and accelerate content creation workflows.
