About The Position

Knott Laboratory is seeking a creative, organized, and results-oriented Marketing Generalist to support and execute marketing initiatives that enhance brand awareness, strengthen client engagement, and drive business growth. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Communications, this role partners closely with business development, engineering, and operational teams across the organization. The Marketing Generalist will contribute to a wide range of marketing activities, including content creation, social media management, event coordination, digital campaigns, and internal communications. This position is ideal for a proactive self-starter who enjoys balancing creativity with analytics and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Two to five years of professional marketing experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Canva or similar graphic design platforms.
  • Experience with website content management systems and email marketing platforms.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and marketing performance reporting.
  • Experience creating and editing video content.
  • Experience utilizing AI productivity and content generation tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in professional services, engineering, consulting, architecture, construction, or technical industries.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling written and visual content for blogs, newsletters, social media platforms, presentations, recruiting campaigns, videos, and other marketing materials.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
  • Assist in managing and updating website content and digital marketing assets.
  • Develop employee, project, and technical content that highlights Knott Laboratory's expertise and culture.
  • Manage and optimize company social media channels to increase engagement, audience growth, and brand visibility.
  • Support the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Monitor social media activity and respond appropriately to comments, messages, and engagement opportunities.
  • Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in digital marketing and social media strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute marketing campaigns supporting multiple service lines, industries, and geographic markets.
  • Assist with lead generation initiatives and marketing efforts that support business development objectives.
  • Coordinate marketing materials, collateral, and promotional content for client and business development activities.
  • Help identify opportunities to increase market awareness and strengthen Knott Laboratory's competitive position.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and promotion of company-sponsored events, conferences, trade shows, and internal programs.
  • Assist with internal communication initiatives that support employee engagement and organizational culture.
  • Coordinate event logistics, promotional materials, communications, and post-event evaluations.
  • Track marketing performance metrics and analyze campaign effectiveness.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure engagement, website traffic, lead generation, and return on investment.
  • Maintain project timelines, coordinate deliverables, and ensure marketing initiatives are completed on schedule.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on data and performance results.
