About The Position

VTS is seeking a Marketing Engineer to build and manage AI systems and workflows that power their revenue engine and drive demand programs. This role requires a blend of marketing expertise, engineering skills, and a deep understanding of B2B sales. The Marketing Engineer will own the systems and touchpoints that guide buyers through the entire sales funnel, from initial awareness to closing and expansion. Responsibilities include architecting agent workflows, developing data pipelines, writing sequences, and creating personas. The ideal candidate is self-directed and can identify and build impactful programs without constant supervision. This is an individual contributor role with significant autonomy, involving daily hands-on work in building, shipping, testing, and iterating on AI-native systems for areas like outbound sequencing, content production, and competitive intelligence. The role reports to the VP of Marketing but collaborates closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations teams.

Requirements

  • Marketing experience and instincts, including understanding of personas, buying stages, and effective messaging.
  • Ability to write copy, pressure-test value propositions, and discern good creative.
  • Experience as a growth or product marketer with ownership of campaigns.
  • Technical fluency to build, not just configure, including connecting tools, automating workflows, and building reliable systems.
  • Experience with LLM APIs beyond the chat interface, integrating them into automations, building production-ready prompts, and deploying unsupervised agents.
  • Understanding of modern B2B sales processes, including deal progression, account research, outreach effectiveness, deal stalling points, and enablement.
  • Proven experience with the modern GTM tool landscape, including hands-on experience with tools like Clay, Gong, Outreach or Salesloft, Apollo, ZoomInfo.
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms like n8n, Make, or Workato.
  • An experimental mindset with a bias toward shipping and a preference for building repeatable solutions over manual processes.
  • Ability to ship fast prototypes and build for scale.
  • Communication skills to work effectively across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions teams, earning trust and synthesizing inputs into actionable projects.
  • Ability to enable teams using newly built systems.

  • Experience with MCP servers.
  • Background that spans more than one GTM function (e.g., marketing and sales, or sales and customer success).

Responsibilities

  • Build high-leverage AI systems and agents across the full revenue motion.
  • Embed across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to understand functional operations, identify friction points, and automate processes.
  • Design and deploy AI-powered workflows, agents, and automation infrastructure across the entire buyer journey, ensuring adoption, edge case handling, and alignment with brand voice and positioning.
  • Own targeting & segmentation by building ICP models, scoring frameworks, and segmentation logic for outbound sequences, marketing emails, paid media audiences, and account-based plays to achieve precision at scale.
  • Drive growth through a high-velocity experimentation roadmap across the funnel, including outbound sequences, inbound programs, landing page variants, and segmentation logic, building a foundation for repeatable, scalable programs.
  • Optimize channels and enable speed-to-insight by connecting systems to execution channels (email, ads, SDR sequences, in-product triggers) for rapid action on learnings.
  • Govern brand & content in AI workflows by embedding brand voice, design standards, and messaging into AI tools used for asset creation (emails, proposals, one-pagers, ad copy) and building guardrails for AI-assisted output.
