About The Position

The Commission of Environmental Sustainability within the AMS is seeking a Marketing Deputy to create social media graphics, plan and schedule marketing campaigns, and assist with any marketing aspect of a project within the CES. This position will also work closely with the Commissioner of Environmental Sustainability-related special projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for digital marketing, as well as environmental sustainability. The expected time commitment will be 5-10 hours per week. Deputy Commissioners/Officers work directly under the full-time Commissioners or Officers and oversee the commissions’/offices' committees. Deputy portfolios vary amongst the Commissions and Offices, but every portfolio offers the chance to develop leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Create social media graphics, posting schedules, campaigns and posts to market new and ongoing projects within the commission
Maintain brand consistency within the Commission of Environmental Sustainability
Update the commission's page on the AMS website as necessary
Ensure all marketing materials abide by the AMS Media Centre Visual Identity Standards
Build relationships with AMS resources, networks, and external clubs/ organizations
Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the department and adhere to the general operations of the department
Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures and ethical standards
Maintain timely communication with your direct supervisor
Attend and fully participate in all in person and virtual meetings
Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively
Strive to foster a warm, comfortable and respectful atmosphere for all
Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement
Complete other duties as assigned
