About The Position

The Marketing Data Analyst will drive marketing performance analysis and conversion optimization across the department. This role involves collaborating with Marketing and Content teams to establish and maintain a comprehensive measurement framework for the marketing and conversion funnel, from content discovery to course purchase. The analyst will also evolve and mature the KPI measurement framework in conjunction with Marketing leadership to inform strategy across Open Learning. Key responsibilities include integrating data from various marketing sources (Hubspot, Google Analytics, social channels, PostHog, enrollment data, etc.) to create a unified view of performance, implementing and managing custom event tracking on web and product analytics platforms for accurate data, and building and maintaining dashboards (preferably in Tableau) for Marketing, Content, and Course teams. The role also requires designing clear and accessible reports for both daily operations and leadership review, and developing attribution models to track the impact of organic content on driving traffic towards free and paid offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with research methods and statistical analysis.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience conducting data analyses, including collecting, cleaning, analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing complex and large datasets from various sources.
  • Experience producing effective, well-organized reports.
  • Ability to work in person on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA a minimum of two days a week.
