About The Position

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is seeking to hire candidates for their Marketing Coordinator position. This role will assist with all promotional and marketing projects aimed at maintaining, developing, and enhancing ridership. The Marketing Coordinator will play a supportive role in utilizing current, innovative, and new promotional avenues to deliver messages, including offline and online media, event/lifestyle marketing, strategic partnerships, website management, and social media.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in advertising, marketing or other related field required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience: (two (2) years of experience equating to one (1) year of post high school education), may be considered in lieu of the above requirement.
• Graphic Design Experience required – specifically working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong Computer skills required in: Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
• Strong Social Media Skills required.
• Event Marketing Coordination experience required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building creative, content, and copy.
• Use social media tool to promote the brand, create excitement, and drive engagement.
• Assist in updating marketing content on SEPTA.org.
• Coordinate advertising plans, media buys, and partnerships with outside agencies.
• Assist in managing and coordinating SEPTA’s Perks program.
• Event marketing. Includes recruiting volunteers and attending events which can fall outside normal workhours.
• Coordinate invoices and track budget.
• Performs other duties as assigned/required.
