Requirements

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent.
  • Understands brand best practices and applications.
  • Understands the importance of creating marketing strategies.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics.
  • Understands all marketing mediums, including web, print, advertising, video, and social media.
  • Ability to plan and execute a small event.
  • Working skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Co-op/Intern experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • With guidance, develops and executes project level marketing plans and supporting initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborates with cross functional team members to develop marketing deliverables and support execution of the overall marketing strategy.
  • Supports data informed marketing decisions by researching, organizing, and then summarizing market, industry, and competitive trend information into clear, usable insights.
  • Writes clear, compelling copy tailored to defined target audiences and communication goals.
  • Creates social media communications that follow platform best practices and contribute to increased audience engagement and brand visibility
  • Supports proposal development activities by contributing accurate, well organized content that helps position the company to win work.
  • Assists with the planning and execution of marketing events by supporting logistics, promotional materials, and on site coordination.
  • With guidance, independently executes smaller scale marketing events to ensure a positive, on brand attendee experience.
  • Applies an understanding of basic design principles to support visually effective marketing materials that align with branding guidelines.
  • Edits and proofreads marketing content to improve clarity, accuracy, and overall quality prior to distribution or submission.
  • Regularly updates existing marketing materials and uploads revised and newly approved content to the content management system (CMS).
