About The Position

This opening is for a co-op student starting in September 2026. At MASV (pronounced massive), we move massive files at lightning speed for the world’s biggest creators, broadcasters, and innovators. We’re a remote-first Canadian tech scale-up helping media & entertainment teams (and beyond) share huge files, from entire movies to giant data sets, faster and easier than ever. This is an amazing opportunity to make an impact at a fast-growing scale-up. MASV is looking for a creative Marketing Coordinator to join our remote team for a 4-month (8-month optional) work term. This role is perfect for a student who wants hands-on experience in marketing at a fast-growing Canadian tech scale-up. You’ll be the voice behind MASV’s social channels, creating engaging content, building community, and telling our story across platforms. You’ll also support marketing campaigns and brand initiatives. At MASV, you get to create, collaborate, and contribute to projects that have a real impact. In addition to your day-to-day marketing duties, you’ll get the chance to own a project from start to finish in a marketing area that excites you and supports MASV’s growth.

Requirements

  • Located in Canada, with a preference for the Toronto to Kitchener-Waterloo corridor, just-in-case we want to meet-up to collaborate
  • Currently studying Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong communicator with solid writing skills.
  • Eager to roll up your sleeves and learn while doing.
  • Curious about tech, media, and how businesses grow.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a distributed team.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter/X), with a history of driving engagement and growth.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Nice To Haves

  • Dabbled with Canva, HubSpot, WordPress, Google Analytics or similar platforms.
  • Speak/write in German, French, and/or Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule engaging social media content across LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Instagram, and Reddit.
  • Monitor and engage with MASV's social channels by responding to comments, joining relevant conversations, and building a thriving community around our brand.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to grow our audience and amplify MASV's presence in the media, entertainment, and tech spaces.
  • Develop social media campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and brand loyalty.
  • Draft email newsletters and campaigns that resonate with our audience.
  • Research trending topics in media, entertainment, and tech to spark content ideas.
  • Design marketing materials and social graphics in Canva to make our content visually compelling.
  • Support the team in preparing for industry events and webinars.
  • Help coordinate outreach to partners, prospects, and press to amplify MASV’s reach.
  • Contribute to growing MASV’s brand presence.
  • Conduct competitor research.
  • Help craft messaging and positioning that resonates with our target audience.
  • Update, stage, and optimize website content in Webflow.
  • Support SEO and analytics.
  • Optimize HubSpot CRM for marketing automation, emails, and lead generation.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to brainstorm, plan, and execute marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and support growth initiatives.
  • Choose a project with a specialization in a marketing area of your choice that aligns with MASV's marketing and growth needs.
  • Brainstorm ideas with the marketing team, pitch your project, and design a project plan.
  • Execute the project by the end of your coop work term and present it to the team.
