About The Position

As the Marketing Content Specialist for SIGMA Group, you will work alongside the Marketing department to develop and execute content needed for a variety of digital and traditional marketing channels. The goal is to tell the story of SIGMA Group and its divisions, our differentiation from our competitors, and give our external teams valuable information and marketing materials to generate new leads. SIGMA Group is a B2B sales and service organization serving our customers by buying, selling, and renting used manufacturing equipment in addition to providing a host of services across the manufacturing equipment life cycle.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and knowledge of AP Style is preferred.
  • Must be able to conduct research, interpret source material, write for diverse audiences and communicate concisely on technical as well as promotional subject matter.
  • A strong understanding of digital and traditional marketing, including paid media, organic search (SEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills are a plus.
  • Adaptability; ability to change actions, course, or approach
  • Self-starter but ability to work in collaborative/team environment
  • Strong desire to learn the industry supporting and customer needs
  • Direct personal contact with internal and external sources is required.
  • Writing samples are requested.
  • Knowledge of AP writing style
  • Experience in Prompt Engineering and managing AI-driven content workflows to maintain brand voice consistency
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and Canva
  • GEO, SEO, PPC knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Writing, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field, along with 3+ years of prior experience developing content for media, marketing, or public relations

Responsibilities

  • Write, refine, and distribute marketing materials for marketing projects needed. Including, but not limited to: brochures, case studies, product collateral, social media, email marketing, PPC ads, social ads, website content, intranet, internal marketing, press releases, etc.
  • Create and optimize the website content to fit the best search engine optimization strategies.
  • Assist with visual storytelling and video production by capturing high-quality footage and performing basic edits to create marketing videos. Content will highlight project success stories, divisional overviews, and key features for social media.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Marketing team and diverse internal and external teams during the content development process.
  • Develop and utilize a content management database to efficiently generate content with consistent voice and tone, including rewriting old content.
  • Develop and utilize a robust content calendar with regular maintenance and organization
  • Create and distribute monthly status reports to Marketing and Sales management as appropriate.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the success of the content performance and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements.
  • Proofread and edit content produced by the Marketing department, including collateral, publications, letters, web copy, and various product marketing projects.
  • This role will also participate in marketing team projects beyond content development requirements and will be communicated as projects arise.
