About The Position

We’re looking for a Marketing Consultant who can turn business goals into practical marketing plans, make recommendations backed by data, and confidently guide clients through the why behind the strategy. This isn’t a role where you’ll focus on just one channel. You’ll work across audiences, channels, budgets, measurement, brand positioning, and member journeys while partnering directly with credit union clients and our internal teams.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2–5 years of marketing strategy and hands-on marketing experience.
  • Experience building marketing plans that connect business goals, audiences, channels, budgets, and measurement.
  • Strong experience in at least one core marketing channel, such as email/lifecycle marketing, paid media, or paid search, with enough broader knowledge to plan across multiple channels.
  • Understanding of marketing analytics, KPIs, attribution, and campaign performance.
  • Experience with brand positioning, messaging, personas, customer/member journeys, or lifecycle marketing.
  • Ability to work within a defined budget, prioritize investments, and explain marketing tradeoffs.
  • Strong client-facing, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients or projects while meeting deadlines and raising concerns early.
  • Comfortable collaborating with specialists and turning different perspectives into a clear recommendation.
  • Ability to handle confidential client, employee, and business information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience is equally valued.

Nice To Haves

  • Credit union, banking, financial services, or other regulated-industry experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Build strategic marketing plans that connect client business goals to target audiences, channel mix, budgets, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish KPIs and measurement strategies before campaigns launch and use results to continuously improve recommendations.
  • Develop recommendations across paid, owned, and earned marketing channels.
  • Participate in client discovery, planning, and performance conversations alongside Account Executives.
  • Present recommendations to clients, explain your reasoning, and confidently respond to questions and differing viewpoints.
  • Analyze campaign and channel performance and turn the results into actionable recommendations.
  • Stay hands-on with marketing execution, particularly when strategy and implementation overlap.
  • Support brand positioning, messaging, audience personas, and member journey and lifecycle mapping.
  • Write marketing portions of proposals and collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposed work can be successfully delivered.
  • Manage multiple client priorities, deadlines, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Participate in quality reviews and provide constructive feedback on client work.
  • Collaborate with specialists, analytics, operations, and account teams to create cohesive recommendations.
  • Support onboarding, cross-training, and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Step in where needed and help solve problems as the team and business continue to grow.

Benefits

  • opportunities to learn, grow, and expand your expertise
  • collaborative environment where your contributions make a real difference
