About The Position

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a hands-on marketing, communications, or related role.
  • Exceptional creativity and outstanding writing and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while staying organized and detail oriented.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and focused on solutions.
  • Experience working with vendors, printers, promotional partners, or outside agencies.
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing best practices.
  • Microsoft Office and digital software mastery.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, leading, and executing marketing and communications strategy through compelling storytelling, strong brand management, and effective multi-channel content delivery.
  • Developing content to support and advance revenue goals, elevate the organization’s voice, and increase community engagement.
  • Managing Seamen’s Bank social media platforms, including content creation and scheduling.
  • Launching and developing email marketing campaigns.
  • Managing, updating, and optimizing the Bank’s website.
  • Serving as the organization’s primary content creator for digital marketing, print publications, and communications.
  • Translating complex financial products and Bank services to the average consumer.
  • Shaping raw material into meaningful, impactful messaging.
  • Writing and collaborating on the creation of compelling and effective copy.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Bank’s image through consistent messaging and visual branding.
  • Securing Seamen’s Bank position as a leading institution on the Cape and a steadfast community partner.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on brand moments, like events, milestones, and other notable news.
  • Planning, executing, and analyzing product and services marketing campaigns.
  • Targeting potential customers and recommending avenues to capture market share.
  • Developing a multi-channel media list, on-going pitch content, and regular distribution schedule.
  • Collaborating with internal experts to position Seamen’s Bank as an industry leader.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the metrics and effectiveness of marketing activities.

  • Assisting with various other communication needs, like summaries, leadership updates, talking points, and announcements.
  • Building and maintaining calendars and follow-up plans.
  • Collaborating with third-party vendors and internal teams on Seamen’s Bank swag, printed materials, signage, promotional pieces, and other marketing deliverables.
  • Maintaining relationships with vendors and identifying new relationships.
