About The Position

Conair is the largest, privately owned, fixed-wing aerial firefighting company in the world, operating a fleet of 70 specialized aircraft to fight forest fires. We have been supporting government agencies around the globe for over 50 years, with areputation of providing service excellence, making us an industry leader. We are aerospace engineering experts, creating 15 different airtanker types, converting hundreds of aircraft into airtankers. We are aviation maintenance experts, performing repair, maintenance and overhaul on our fleet. And we are operators, providing airtankers, crew and maintenance on contract over fire seasons to government agencies including Canada, the US, Australia and France. Conair is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator on a full-time basis to join our Business Development team. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives, this is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior professional looking to build a career in marketing and communications, gaining international exposure within the aviation industry. You will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of day-to-day marketing and communications activities across the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to align content to a corporate tone
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Proficiency within Social Media platforms
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship or permanent residency)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with graphic design platforms considered an asset
  • Experience with Canva considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Create marketing materials including brochures, advertisements, and presentation decks
  • Write and edit content such as press releases, proposals, and articles
  • Develop engaging social media content aligned with corporate messaging
  • Support coordination of trade shows, events, and industry conferences
  • Update and maintain website content
  • Assist with coordination of graphic design and video production activities
  • Support the broader Business Development team with marketing and communications initiatives
