About The Position

Help people create homes they love. Join the Urban Barn team as a Marketing Communications Coordinator at our Home Office located in Burnaby, BC. With over 50 retail stores across the country, Urban Barn is a national retail chain offering high-quality furniture and home décor. We’re passionate about making our customers and our employees feel right at home. This is an in-office position Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday. Reporting to the Marketing Program Manager, The Marketing Communications Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns and projects at Urban Barn. This is primarily an administrative and operational coordination role, contributing to the strengthening of our brand and driving customer engagement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in retail, brand, or marketing administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach with a track record of taking initiative
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with project management tools

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual language skills (French & English) are an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and distribution of marketing communications to stores, warehouses, and the corporate office, ensuring content accurately reflects brand standards.
  • Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives across multiple channels, ensuring brand consistency and timely delivery of assets and communications.
  • Monitor and respond to Marketing inquiries while coordinating with appropriate teams for timely resolution.
  • Provide marketing administration and support, including trackers, marketing documentation, photoshoot coordination, and participation in special projects and committees as needed.
  • Lead and support the planning and execution of marketing and PR events including, store openings, media opportunities, pop-ups and in-store community events.
  • Own print production including vendor management and logistics, for promotional materials, store displays, seasonal launches, point-of-sale materials, and events, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Assist social media and influencer programs across content management, partnership administration, and channel optimization as needed.
  • Support PR initiatives through media coordination, product and content facilitation, and internal stakeholder reporting.
  • Manage and track marketing invoices and payments for various marketing initiatives.
