About The Position

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for executing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that advances Nourishing Hope’s mission, strengthens brand awareness, and drives donor and community support. This role serves as a key cross-functional partner, translating programmatic impact into compelling storytelling across multiple channels, while managing day-to-day execution of content, digital platforms, campaigns, and events. This role requires a highly organized, proactive individual who can balance strategy and hands-on execution, while managing external vendors and preparing for future team growth.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to translate impact into compelling content
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in digital platforms including social media, email marketing, and website management and experience with tools such as WordPress, Canva/Adobe, email platforms (e.g., Constant Contact), and CRM systems
  • Ability to work both strategically and tactically in a hands-on, detail-oriented role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for Nourishing Hope’s mission and commitment to equity and community

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in nonprofit marketing or fundraising communications
  • Experience managing external vendors or freelancers

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing multi-channel marketing and communications plans that increase awareness, engagement, and donor support, helping ensure consistent messaging across all departments.
  • Create and coordinate mission-driven content for digital, social media, email, print, and web that effectively communicates organizational impact and engages donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of website, email marketing, and social media channels, ensuring content is timely, accurate, and builds and nurtures key audiences.
  • Partner with Development and Program teams to create and execute marketing materials, and campaigns that support fundraising goals, events, and program visibility.
  • Coordinate and assist with managing external vendors (designers, printers, photographers, etc.), while helping build marketing systems, processes, and tools that enable future growth of the marketing function.
