About The Position

The Italian branch of Base.com was established 5 months ago and operates with a fast-paced, startup mindset. This role is the first marketing hire in Italy, reporting directly to the Country Head. It is a dynamic, highly hands-on operational role for a professional with approximately 3-5 years of experience who is eager to build the local marketing foundation from scratch. While there won't be a team from day one, the role is expected to grow with the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in marketing, digital communication, or PR roles.
  • Highly proactive, hands-on approach, and resourceful.
  • Strong self-management skills and ability to navigate a fast-paced environment independently.
  • A genuine desire to learn, grow, and build the role from the ground up, taking true ownership of the Italian marketing operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the SaaS, e-commerce, or tech industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, localizing, and distributing strategic press releases for Italian media outlets (tech, retail, business).
  • Ideation and dissemination of communication campaigns to highlight strategic agreements and new integrations in Italy.
  • Managing PR and marketing relationships with Italian commercial partners for the organization and promotion of joint activities (e.g., webinars, workshops, case studies).
  • Strategic and operational management of LinkedIn Italy and assessment/management of other relevant channels for the Italian market.
  • Monitoring, managing, and nurturing Base.com's brand image and user reviews across partner platforms and review sites (e.g., Shopify App Store, Trustpilot).
  • Definition and management of the Italian editorial plan (blog posts, whitepaper localization, creation of Italian success stories).
  • Adaptation of Base.com's global tone of voice, messaging, and marketing materials to ensure maximum effectiveness in the Italian market.
  • Technical and operational management of email marketing campaigns (Italian newsletters) and flows of leads generated via the HubSpot tool.
  • Operational, logistical, and communication coordination of Base.com Italy's participation in trade shows, conferences, and workshops (both offline and online).
  • Content creation and strategy to maximize impact and lead generation stemming from event participation.
  • Main point of contact and workflow management with any external agencies / consultants dedicated to SEO/GEO strategies, social media, etc.
  • Management and technical coordination of external freelancers (e.g., graphic designers, copywriters, videomakers, social media consultants, etc.) for the production of Italian marketing materials.
  • Coordination of Italian colleagues to align personal communication on LinkedIn and amplify the brand voice.
  • Constant monitoring and monthly reporting of main marketing KPIs for the Italian market.
