About The Position

TruEnergy Federal Credit Union, a $126+ million-dollar Credit Union located in Springfield, Virginia, is looking for an experienced Marketing/Business Development Specialist. This role combines creativity and relationship-building to promote credit union services and attract new members. This position plans and organizes business development activities, implements and creates innovative marketing campaigns, and enhances membership communication. They increase awareness of credit union products, build relationships with Select Employee Groups (SEGs) through outbound visits, and represent the credit union at community events to grow membership, loans, deposits, and accounts. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for professional representation. HYBRIDThis position has a hybrid work arrangement that gives you the opportunity to work remotely occasionally, or according to an established schedule determined by your manager. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant experience with a financial institution and/or marketing, advertising and sales field
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent business writing skills and strong presentation skills required.
  • Some travel required
  • PC proficient including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: CRT, PC, fax, copier, telephone, postage machine, etc.

  • College degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Designing compelling graphics and implementing innovative marketing campaigns to highlight credit union products and services.
  • Develops and executes marketing and business development plans, campaigns, and strategies.
  • Researches trends to recommend products and services that meet member needs.
  • Coordinates newsletters, email campaigns, social media, and event planning.
  • Builds and maintains SEG relationships, acquires new groups, and supports member onboarding.
  • Representing the credit union at community events to enhance visibility and drive growth in membership, loans, deposits, and accounts.
  • Prepares reports, manages media relations, and ensures policy compliance.
