About The Position

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented specialist to support the delivery of marketing and business development initiatives for the Life Sciences and Health Care (LSHC) sector and the life sciences regulatory practices. This role reports into a Senior Manager and collaborates with global M&BD colleagues and sector leadership. The position is part of a supportive, close-knit global team focused on the LSHC sector. The specialist will execute client development and profile-raising initiatives to align with sector priorities, grow revenues, enhance the firm's profile, and effectively coordinate resources. Opportunities to support cross-sector and cross-practice initiatives also exist. The candidate will work closely with the global M&BD team to ensure LSHC programs support firm and sector priorities.

  • Five (5)+ years of relevant experience required, preferably in a legal or professional services sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and coordinate responses to RFPs, customized pitches, and presentations.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials to support new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and update credentials, pitch content, and marketing materials.
  • Prepare pitch teams for presentations and support post-pitch reviews.
  • Leverage firm technologies to track pitch activity and engagement.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date M&BD information and materials.
  • Create and implement integrated marketing campaigns for the sector and practices to raise profile and awareness, and generate opportunities.
  • Assist in content development and distribution via internal and external channels, including social media.
  • Coordinate and support client seminars, webinars, association activities, and other marketing-oriented events and programs, including development of materials, day-of support, follow-up, and metrics-driven reporting.
  • Build and manage relationships with membership associations and programs.
  • Draft, coordinate, and leverage directory submissions for ranking organizations/publications.
  • Create and maintain targeted mailing lists for client communications, events, and seminars.
  • Promote sector and practice capabilities and activities across the firm through newsletters, team meetings, and intranet sites.
  • Support the M&BD team and central PR team on profile raising plans and campaigns.
  • Initiate and implement strategic marketing and business development campaigns and projects for the sector and practice areas (e.g., digital health, medtech, AI).
  • Create and maintain targeted mailing lists for client communications, events, and seminars.
  • Conduct research on sector, market, and client trends to support business development efforts.
  • Assist in developing client toolkits, targeting initiatives, and outreach efforts.
  • Support client development activities and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with coordination of sector and practice activities and share best practices and processes across the global Sector team.
  • Support internal reporting and communication of M&BD activities.
  • Maintain newsletters and intranet.
  • Contribute to broader department projects for other sectors and the Global Regulatory & IP practices.
  • Participate in the global Responsible Business program.
