Marketing & Bicycle Collection Associate (CSLP FWS)
About The Position
Grand Canyon University (GCU) partners with nonprofit organizations identified by the IRS as 501(c)(3) to improve the quality of life for community residents. GCU has a partnership with Free Bikes 4 Kidz (FB4K), whose mission is to help kids live happier, healthier lives by providing bikes to those most in need. This CSLP student worker position is approved for Community Service as defined by 34 CFR 675.2(b), offering services to non-GCU community members. The work schedule is dependent on FB4K's hours of operation and needs, with a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. CSLP student workers may be eligible to work during the summer. All FWS and FWS-CSLP positions require applicants to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be reviewed for FWS-eligibility.
Requirements
- Enrolled at GCU in a bachelor’s program or master’s program full-time during fall/spring or half-time during summer.
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
- Have passion and willingness to help others succeed.
- Possess strong ethics, integrity, and sense of responsibility.
- Must have reliable transportation.

- Ability to speak a second language a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing and digitizing donor communications and records
- Assist with marketing and outreach efforts
- Communicate with collection and distribution partners
- Assist with inventory management
- Conduct research into potential fund-raising activities
- Support the refurbishment of bicycles (i.e., cleaning, repair)
- Other duties as assigned
