Purpose of the Role As the Marketing Associate, you play an essential role on the External Affairs team, executing day-to-day brand marketing tactics to amplify stories that drive change. You will manage information flow across owned channels to ensure email, web, and on-site digital signage content is accurate, on-brand, and optimized for engagement. This role plays a critical part in converting followers to visitors and supporters to lifelong advocates, bridging digital operations and experiential marketing to deliver a transformative experience at the Obama Presidential Center.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in digital or brand marketing or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), ticketing systems, Google Analytics, Asana, and Google Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable results and maintain a strong impact focus.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to ensure accountability and manage multiple competing project priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • A collaborative team player able to work effectively in cross-functional environments and manage ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary content editor for Obama Presidential Center digital signage; create, edit, and deploy slides and playlists in the CMS, and liaise with the design team for new creative needs.
  • Proactively manage website update requests to ensure fresh, timely, and accurate content; optimize performance through "test and learn" strategies and coordinate across owned and paid channels.
  • In close collaboration with Strategy & Operations, provide support for marketing and creative teams, including maintenance of project management systems (Asana) and development of meeting agendas.
  • Manage deliverables for key marketing initiatives, including internal alignment and reviews, timelines, and delivery of final assets.
  • Build and deploy end-to-end email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including content build, testing, managing stakeholder approvals, audience targeting, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
  • Support experiential marketing initiatives such as parades, convenings, and brand activations; provide on-site presence, event coordination, and digital integration.
  • Assist in managing centralized contract processes and track budget expenditures for external marketing vendors.
  • Manage the inventory and distribution of branded assets for organization-wide and third-party use.
