The Student Union Building (SUB) is a dynamic workplace that offers leadership opportunities, teamwork, and hands-on professional development. The Marketing Assistant plays a key role in enhancing campus engagement by planning, promoting, overseeing, and executing student-centered events. This position utilizes graphic design skills daily and is responsible for supervising a student team developing creative programming, managing social media platforms, and designing marketing/promotional materials that effectively communicate with a diverse student audience. The Marketing Assistant position reports directly to the Director of the Student Union Building. The SUB is seeking a candidate who is an energetic and collaborative team player comfortable engaging with the public, contributing original ideas, delegating tasks efficiently, managing multiple projects, and representing the Student Union in various group settings. They will utilize graphic design skills to create digital and print marketing materials, maintain an active and engaging social media presence, and support outreach efforts through strategic communication. Strong candidates will demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities, with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, student-focused work environment. Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, as well as familiarity with social media platforms for engagement and promotion.
