About The Position

The position entails a need for excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task on a variety of projects simultaneously, accurate distribution of pertinent information both internally to all departments as well as to clients and related vendors. Excellent client skills in presentation and marketing ability. The position requires creating and coordinating content for social media, print, digital signage, and marketing initiatives. It involves assisting with the planning and execution of campus events, promotions, and retail marketing campaigns. The role supports student marketing ambassadors and collaborates with dining and campus partners. The Marketing Assistant must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while adapting to changing priorities. This role may involve periods where the Company does not require work, such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease. Any such periods may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff, though depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at a different location during break periods.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in social media
  • Prior experience in graphic design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), or similar design software)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in event planning or marketing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Accurate distribution of pertinent information both internally to all departments as well as to clients and related vendors

Responsibilities

  • Creates and coordinates content for social media, print, digital signage, and marketing initiatives.
  • Assists with planning and execution of campus events, promotions, and retail marketing campaigns.
  • Supports student marketing ambassadors and collaborates with dining and campus partners.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents, including but not limited to proposed disciplinary notices.
  • Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
  • Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, student's parents and Supervisor.
  • Complete and maintain accurate and up to date records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches if applicable.
  • Coordinates content needed for marketing initiatives.
  • Works within provided budgets and guidelines.
  • Works with vendors and agencies.
  • Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Coordinates field marketing requests and activities.
  • Assists with presentations and proposals.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
