About The Position

The Marketing Communications Manager – Social & Content Strategy serves as a cross-functional campaign strategist, storyteller, and social media channels owner who elevates Heartspring’s visibility and brand reputation across audiences. This role is responsible for leading integrated content and social media strategy in support of all marketing and communications initiatives, including lead generation, awareness-building, and digital engagement. As a key member of a lean, high-impact team, this individual balances creative storytelling with strategic planning. They partner closely with internal subject-matter experts and other members of the marketing and communications team to align messaging across channels and drive engagement by creating purposeful, audience-centered content.

Requirements

  • Strategic content development and digital storytelling

  • Writing, editing, designing and producing content across formats and for various audiences: video, photo, social, web, blog, email, print, light graphic design
  • Campaign planning and editorial calendar management
  • Understanding of lead generation marketing and funnel strategy
  • Developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Web CMS utilization and formatting content for digital platforms
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Analyzing performance data and making data-informed decisions
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field required
  • 3+ years of experience in content strategy, social media, or integrated marketing role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead content campaigns from concept to execution
  • Portfolio of writing samples and social media content required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of multi channel content campaigns that support service line growth, community visibility, fundraising, and employee engagement.
  • Create messaging frameworks, editorial calendars, and content briefs aligned to key priorities.
  • Serve as the strategic lead for Heartspring’s social media presence across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Develop content plans, write posts, lead video and visual storytelling efforts, engage audiences, and evaluate platform performance.
  • Recommend improvements based on trends and analytics.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and tell compelling stories that reflect the impact of Heartspring’s services.
  • Write original content for social, web, email, print, and other communications.
  • Maintain brand voice and tone across all public-facing channels.
  • Support campaign storytelling and content creation through high-quality photography and video.
  • Capture and edit visual content in partnership with the broader team.
  • Act as a strategic marketing partner to assigned business unit.
  • Lead campaign planning, develop lead generation content, and collaborate on marketing strategies that drive inquiries, appointments, and retention.
  • Track content performance across channels and apply insights to inform future campaigns.
  • Leverage tools such as Google Analytics, social insights, and email platform metrics to guide strategy.
  • Work in partnership with team members to deliver high-quality creative assets and align messaging across internal and external efforts.
  • Contribute to cross-functional planning, content sharing, and creative brainstorming.
  • Adhere to code of conduct and company policies, review published communications, escalate concerns through chain of command, and ensure confidentiality.
