The Marketing & Communications Intern is a semester-long, learning-focused role designed to provide hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing and communications. The intern supports outreach efforts for both the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity affiliate and the Knoxville Habitat ReStore. This role is supervised and collaborative. Interns assist with drafting content, supporting campaigns, and contributing to marketing projects under the guidance of the Marketing & Communications (MarComm) team. Final messaging, publishing, strategy, and decision-making remain the responsibility of staff. The on-site schedule follows an 80/20 split between the affiliate headquarters and the ReStore, while project work supports both areas. This structure provides exposure to storytelling, digital marketing, campaign execution, and community engagement across both nonprofit and retail environments.
