About The Position

In this role, the intern will assist in the development, planning, execution, and evaluation of communications and marketing initiatives, with a specific focus and emphasis on the Re-Cycle Macon program. This program of CCMI repairs donated bicycles and provides them to those in need of accessible transportation at no cost. The intern will attend all Re-Cycle Macon program events unless otherwise agreed upon.

Requirements

• Strong interest in nonprofit marketing and communications
• Experience with managing social media platforms on behalf of an organization
• Professional and dependable
• Outstanding writing skills, including the ability to write varied content
• Multimedia proficiency, including knowledge of basic graphic design concepts, and basic video and photography

Nice To Haves

• Experience with bicycle repair is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Create and produce marketing initiatives, including email, social media, and print and digital design
• Compile performance data on marketing and communications initiatives
• Help implement content marketing best practices
• Provide excellent communication with volunteers for the Re-Cycle Macon program
• Capture and create content from Re-Cycle Macon Bike Tech nights
