About The Position

Goodwin Living seeks a Marketing & Communications Assistant who combines project coordination skills with a pioneering spirit to contribute to the work of a creative and collaborative marketing and communications team. Our growing organization is leading the field of senior living and healthcare services as we innovate and redefine aging. We have a story worth telling. As Marketing & Communications Assistant, you will support our efforts to tell our story, lift our voice and spread our passion. You will assist a team that is responsible for extending awareness and managing the reputation of the Goodwin Living brand, brand extensions, products and service lines. The department oversees branding, content marketing management, digital marketing, social media, public relations and internal communications.

Requirements

  • Equivalent work experience or a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
  • Experience with digital platforms, best practices for campaigns across multiple platforms, publishing software platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong writing/editing skills; ability to gather and synthesize information for delivery via multiple digital channels; and a knack for crafting messages that are both informative and engaging using words, infographics, and photos/videos.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work collaboratively within the team to achieve optimal outcomes with a customer service mindset, including a respectful presence for those we serve (residents, members, patients, team members, guests, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Canva or Adobe CreativeSuite design software preferred.
  • Proficiency in WordPress and email platforms (e.g. Pardot, MailChimp, ConstantContact, etc.); familiarity with CRMs (e.g. Salesforces) a plus.
  • Experience with various digital analytics, including GA4, HootSuite, social media engagement and email/digital marketing data.
  • Familiarity with various AI tools that can support marketing and communications work.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team.
  • Interest or experience working with older adults and/or in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of results-driven social media strategy: Curate and schedule engaging content for social media platforms.
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video and photo content.
  • Attend events and produce social media content.
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
  • Share key insights from tracking engagement data.
  • Assist with basic marketing and communications tasks and assignments: Contribute to development of blog articles for websites and newsletters.
  • Assist in the building and scheduling of monthly newsletter.
  • Handle basic website updates.
  • Assist in the creation of basic fliers.
