About The Position
The Marketing and Communications Student Assistant must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at University of Texas at Austin. They will help the Cockrell School of Engineering Marketing and Communications team develop social media content (suggest ideas, keep up with trends, act in videos, pose for photos, etc.) and support website content edits and organization. They will also work on special projects such as campus-wide celebrations, commencement, the Texas Engineer magazine and student engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at University of Texas at Austin
- Proficiency with project management software (i.e. Asana, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Nice To Haves
- Previous social media management experience
- Experience in website content management systems (WordPress)
Responsibilities
- Develop content/ideas to share on our website and social media platforms.
- Edit and organize content for academic websites.
- Other duties as assigned.
